This training utilizes powerful practices with breath to awaken, expand, and excel energetically in bodymind!
We will explore this by using ancient practices, classical practices, as well as more contemporary practices.
An interesting observation that Gannon has is that most of the current day practices around breath are just reintroductions of traditional practices. Practices that have been around for a long, long time. But, people that are not aware of traditional practices think that it’s something new. Even most people that are sharing and offering it, don’t realize they are sharing something that’s been around for thousands of years.
Another observation Gannon has is that most of these contemporary systems of breathwork that are being taught today would probably be better, and more appropriately, referred to as emotional release methods, not necessarily breathwork.
It’s not that these practices are bad. In fact, they can be very powerful and beneficial in helping people move through traumas, energy blockages, or other limitations in the bodymind. It is only misleading when people mistake these practices as the definition of breathwork. We will experiment with all the above, so that we have a clearer understanding of breathwork, pranayama, and retaining the life-force.
